Our last night in Seoul and we simply had to go for a little more sightseeing and perhaps a little shopping before we fly off to Tokyo the next day
Therefore, we headed off to Insadong Market in town on our mission. Since we were there, we sought out some interesting places for an early dinner before we walk around. We found this little wooden shack of a restaurant which actually resembled a living cabin and since they provide a wide variety of food (including seafood), we went in for a try
Look at the unique interior
The appetizers served…
Soft Shell crabs…
Glass noodles
Cucumber strips in Kimchi style
Vegetables with sesame
Cold soup with vege
Kimchi
Chilli sauce
These were the food ordered:
Seafood with Knife-cut noodles
Spicy Fish….but quite nice
Taste like our local Sambal fish…
Lettuce….
to go with this…the Korean BBQ Beef (Arthur’s favourite
)
Radish soup
After a satisfying meal, we headed out to the Insadong Market….most of the shops were already closing
However, this is a much better place compared to Namdaemun to shop as the roads were wider and cleaner as well, and the shops are actually so much more organized. Also, it’s cooler (or probably because it’s already late evening
)
This stall attracted our attention…these 3 guys were really comical…as they speak English in sync…
They were selling those traditional Korean cakes (actually made of sugar and honey and kneaded together) but used to be served in the palace court in the olden days.
And this is the night view of Insadong market….which is one of the popular tourist spot as well. It is also well known as the cultural market here in Seoul.
